[resolved] How to stop "featured image" thumbnails from resizing? (3 posts)

    Here's the site in question:
    http://www.madchenarsch.de

    The dimensions of the thumbnail are 950x290.

    It's confusing, but I'm trying to have it aligned with the text as well as having a margin. If I "center" the featured image, it creates issues with text margins and what have you. The only way to get it the way I need is to resize the post box.

    When I do that, it resizes the featured image, and it keeps the annoying margin on the right hand side.

    My question is - how can I stop wordpress from resizing the image? Is there a way to make it so it's always 950x290 and never smaller?

    Thank you!

    style.css of Twenty Eleven, about one-third down:

    /* Images */
    .entry-content img,
    .comment-content img,
    .widget img {
    	max-width: 97.5%; /* Fluid images for posts, comments, and widgets */
    }

    i.e. in your child theme's style.css, overwrite this with:

    /* Images */
    .entry-content img,
    .comment-content img,
    .widget img {
    	max-width: 100%; /* Fluid images for posts, comments, and widgets */
    }

    get used to working with Firebug http://getfirebug.com/ or a similar browser tool if you want to continue customizing the formatting of your theme.

    Awesome! That worked perfectly, thanks so much! I've been using Firebug but sometimes I have a problem finding exactly what the problem is. Thanks again!
