   Trying to figure out how I can let the peeps on my site know that my TOTALLY BANGIN post is about to be closed to comments. I'd love to be able to say "comments will close in X"

   is there any way to calculate the time from now until the time the comments will be closed?

   How is WordPress supposed to "know" when you'll close the comments on a given post?

   wordpress has a feature that automatically closes posts after a set date. you can find that in 'wp-admin / settings / discussion'.
