    Sayontan... now I got what you meant. :)

    so here is my address: http://www.serialopisanie.pl
    I'm just trying to build this site and would like to insert an image in the empty space that appeared when I went to
    - Blog Features
    ->Featured Content
    ->Show sticky posts

    how can I resolve it?

    You need at least 2 posts in the featured content, otherwise the JQuery Cycle script that is used for featured content will not work.

    thank you, Sayontan.

    I'm trying, but I'm a little lost here.
    I just added a new post and it didn't help.

    Maybe I'm not putting the posts in the right place?

    another thing...

    Maybe inserting an image into text widget in the area below header would be a solution for me. Is it possible?

    The thing is I'd like to be able to put there a kind of ad/link to another website. So maybe there's some other way to do it, that I still haven't discovered? :)

    Is your new post sticky?

    I don't think so - it's still the empty box.

    Now what you see is me playing with 'recommended content' (sorry, that's translation from Polish, so I'm not sure if that's what you called it in English).

    i's already half past midnight here, I'm still feeling a little lost, but looks like I'm getting closer :)

    if you look at the sidebar - you'll see reklama and reklama 2. these are the two posts I tried to stick under the header.

    how do I make it 'sticky'?
    any ideas where I'm wrong?

    ps. I really appreciate your help, Sayontan :)

    Well, if you have set your featured content to pick up sticky posts only, then the new post you are trying to add should be sticky. Or it should satisfy any of the other criteria that you have set in the featured content settings, like an appropriate category etc.

    To make a post sticky, when you are editing a post you will see a box called "Publish". Inside that you will see things like "Status", "Visibility", "Published on" etc. If you click on "Edit" near "Visibility", you can make your post sticky there.

    nope.
    I'm trying to set things right in the Featured Content.
    And I followed your instructions on making posts sticky.

    It looks the same.

    I guess I just need to go to sleep and have another try tomorrow. :)

    Thanks a lot, again. I'll try to do my best when I'm rested!

    one more try and it WORKS!!!
    that made my day! :D

    the problem was with me playing too much with the features earlier - in 'What to show' and then in 'Featured Posts - Number of Posts' I had written '1'. Now I changed it to '2' and there it was!

    thank you very much from the other side of our globe!
    :)
