    Hi,

I have a custom post type 'Speakers' which lists all my event speakers on my website. I have a page template and a loop that takes care of displaying all my speakers in one page.

On my sidebar, I want to show some of my 'Featured Speakers'. How do I show specific speakers as 'Featured'? What's the best practice for doing this? I am using Custom Post Type UI and Advanced Custom Fields plugins. Is there a way, let's say to create a checkbox custom field with ACF and then create a query that lists all those speakers that are checked as Featured? I am open to other suggestions.

    Thanks

You could search WordPress plugins for "featured authors" - http://wordpress.org/plugins/search.php?q=featured+authors - and choose a plugin which suits your needs.

Thanks but 'Featured Authors' has nothing to do with my scenario. What I am looking is a custom query to show those custom post types that are checked as 'Featured'.

Ov3rfly, YES that is exactly what I was looking for.

    Thank you!
