I want to show posts only from my "News" category on my mainpage. Now posts from all categories are shown. How can this be fixed?
(using K2 if that matters...)

Nothing to be "fixed" - that's the expected behaviour of a blogging tool.
However, you can use a plugin to determine what to show:
