Hi - Ive made a few test posts to a category and added an image.
So - under my category "meetings" I have 2 posts and there is no image showing. Click the link and the post opens and theres the image - lovely.
But how do I have an image in the "archive" part - sorry if Im not using the right jargon - still new :)

(Notes for info from link: `the_excerpt() strips images, and all html, from content summaries, hence the suggested change. If you're not using the default theme, also check for a category.php)

That was exactly what I needed - sorry to take up time.
BTW - sorry about my terminology - those assisting with solutions are doing a great job - its my newness Im refering to :) Keep well.
