How to show events title and date ONLY

We would like to display a listing of events on our home page that contains ONLY the title and date. We found we get what we want with this shortcode:

[events_show type=”archive”]

But that’s for OLD events. But when we use:

[events_show type=”default”]

We get the new events but we also see their descriptions.

We have an events page to display all the information for every event. We hoped to just show a title and date for upcoming events on the homepage. Is there any shortcode for this configuration?
