    Hi

Is there a way to have a message appear informing the user that the post has been held for moderation?

At the moment a new user makes a post and as far as the user is concerned nothing happens. The post doesn’t appear in the forum and they don’t get a message on screen informing them that the post has been held for moderation.

Is there an easy way to fix this?

    Thanks

I see what you mean about lack of feedback.

Not sure if it’s an easy fix – I’ll have a look when I have some free time.

It’s not ideal, but topic/replies awaiting moderation are now styled with a light yellow background (from style.css) to provide a visual clue to the user that the post is pending.

    Hopefully it’s sufficient.

    Ian.

Hi Ian, I installed your plug-in and I am having exactly the same problem, and it isn’t sufficient, in fact ‘I hope I am not being rude’ your plug in is useless without telling the user ‘EXPLICITLY’ that their comment is held for moderation. The user will not know what happened and they won’t use the forum again. I had to remove your plug in for this reason.

    +1

I also think it would be better to have a message saying that it is awaiting approval.
