   Hi,

   Is it possible to set the image URL on a 'Linked to Page'?

   Here is some detail.
   1. I uploaded all my image files successfully using http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Image_and_File_Attachments.
   2. I then created a page and created a '[gallery]', which also works successfully.
   3. However, when I click on the thumbnail image that brings me to the 'Linked to Page', the image on the 'linked to attachment-id' page are given a default link (which is the 'File URL', e.g. wp_content/uploads/2008/12/image.jpg) .
   4. The URL that is applied on the 'linked to attachment-id' page ignores the setting that I give it in the media image dialog under 'Enter link URL or click on above for presets'.
   5. Please note this only happens when I use the 'gallery' option on the linked to page. If I set the URL w/o using a 'gallery', then the image uses the URL that I have set in the media image form 'Link URL'.

   I really like the feature of the link to page allowing to have mini comment blogs on the images, so I hope there is a way to also set the on those images. ..."Also consider that if you use "Linked to Page" it will not only create a new little blog page for the image (using the Description field text, as mentioned above), it will also allow visitors to comment on it separately from the post. So you can solicit comments on an image this way."

   Anything new on this??

   I'm trying to link an image in the [gallery] to a custom url outside of wordpress but can't find the way to do it. The url dialoge in the media gallery is ignored.

   any help on that?
