  • I’m looking for a way to save a full web page as an image. I don’t just want to take a screenshot of the part of the web page that is visible in the browser’s viewport, but I want to turn the whole web page into a tall image.
There are several commercial programs that do this (1, 2, 3, 4), but I’m looking for a free solution. I distinctly remember visiting, about a year ago, the weblog of someone who had set up a service like this where you could input a URL and have that web page turned into an image, but I can’t find it anymore…
    Help 🙂

  • This will take a screenshot at the dimensions you specify.

I assume this is prank time 🙂

Thanks! That’s a pretty great program.
It would be even better if you wouldn’t have to specify the dimensions yourself (and crop the resulting image afterwards) and if it would simply capture the whole page, regardless of how long it is.
As for pranks… I claim total and utter ignorance and innocence.

I found the original blogpost I was thinking of again btw. Used to be at Sippey.com, but now at TypePad.
Unfortunately the URL2PNG script appears to have gone. The Drunken Men referenced in the comments have moved here.

Hmmm…. I’m wondering if there’s a way to ‘print as file’ the webpage and convert that to an image….
