• Dear Frnds,

I am new to wordpress and I am using montezuma theme for my site http://www.manishkr.com but I got tired searching how to change the text in the footer as montezuma is taking footer text message as default header title. I tried a lot and lastly found it in public_html/wp-content/themes/montezuma/admin/default-templates/sub-templates/footer.php

and even when I am removing/replacing the footer message from here, its not reflecting in the site as it should be, is it taking the footer message from somewhere else.

Any help or hint in the direction will be appreciable.
    Thanks,
    Manish

    Hi

    I removed the line

    <p>© <?php echo date( 'Y' ); ?> <?php bloginfo('name'); ?> — <?php __( 'All Rights Reserved.', 'montezuma' ); ?></p>

but still the footer message is reflecting in my site what the hell?

Manish, instead of editing the .php files, you need to edit the virtual templates. The virtual templates allow you to make changes without having to worry about editing the .php files like you would in other themes. This has the advantage of saving whatever changes you make even if you update the theme to a newer version in the future.

From the Dashboard, go to Appearance > Montezuma Options > Subtemplates > Footer.php. From there, you should be able to make whatever changes you need to the footer.

What you are asking for is not the same as what the OP requested.
