   Hi,

   I'm new to WP so it might be a stupid question.
   I'd like to have home page replaced with a page I created?
   It seems to me that way I could manage home options through "Manage -> Pages" (I couldn't find how to manage home page through "Manage" options without changing PHP code).
   I learned how to remove Home page from header.php

   Or home page is something that can't be erased/replaced?

   settings > reading > Front page displays

   search is your friend

   this makes the home page act like a redirect...does anyone know how to truly replace the home page without creating a page outside of wordpress?

   @greyisgood advice doesn't redirect outside of WordPress. It simply makes a WordPress page the homepage.
