How to replace featured Image upload option with the post media image option

    I am looking for a way to insert custom URL links in featured Image as well. Currently Featured image tab is only having these basic settings – Featured

    But I want to add custom URL links to my featured image as well, I checked the add media button is having this feature as shown in the screenshot –

    Let me know how could I add this in my featured Image tab as well.

    Please provide any relevant links(easy one) as well for further reading, I searched for meta box but confused on this topic.
