    Hi, hoping some could tell me how to remove the the navigation bar at the top of the 'spine theme' been trying to look for it in the code for hours now.

    Also worried that if i do anything drastic i might screw up the code, i only have basic knowledge on HTML.

    Would greatly appreciate any help.

    Thanks in advance

    Do you have a section of the dashboard named, "Custom CSS", "Custom Styles" or "Jetpack"?

    In Jetpack's Custom CSS section, add this;

    #primary-nav {
     position: absolute;
     left: -9999em;
    }

    Try using a Custom CSS Manager plugin to hold your CSS instead.

    Try these selectors instead;

    body ~ .top-bar

    Try this;

    body {
     border: 10px solid red;
    }

    Does the style occur on the webpage?

    it affects the borders of the website, turns it red which you probably already know

    I made a mistake in the CSS I recommended, but I was curious as to why I couldn't see your Custom CSS coming through to the page.

    Assuming it is coming through then why I can't see it is irrelevant, so amend your CSS selectors to this;

    .top-bar

    Add this to your custom CSS:

    .top-bar {
       display: none;
    }

    And then yes, you must save it, and refresh/clear your browser cache.

    Ha Ha - no problem - virtual pie is yummy! (BTW, it really doesn't bother me personally - but I do like to counter the common assumption that people helping out here are male...)

    Hi guys,

    Good learning from this thread, thanks, but I'm intrigued that you don't mention what happens to the menu!

    shadowsite.info is no longer visible so I have no clue of what was the solution there, but I assume the menu was taken elsewhere - is this correct?

    That exactly what I wanted to do: take the nav-bar from the top-bar and place it elsewhere (actually, it the usual place under the header).

    Any clues on how to get there?
    cheers!

    Yea sorry mate, it was for a guest lodge that bought the site and put it under there a web address, will try and find out the address name for you

    cheers for that, but never mind:

    I found out how to remove the damn top-bar much easierly as it's one of three menu option in the dashboard and goes away as soon as I change from primary to secondary (for instance)
