I dont need to see the date in which my post is posted,I deleted some things from the home page which shows that,but it is still showing like that.No matter what i do it is still showing like that.Any idea on how to remove the posted by date,time etc from my home page detailing all the contents of my site?

With the help of the Template Hierarchy article, determine what Template is displaying those posts (could be your theme's index.php). Then edit that Template and add the template tag, the_time() and/or the_date().
