[resolved] How to remove the love links from the Edit page of Posts? (2 posts)

    Hi,
I've used the plugin before and it works great so thank you!

But this new version I just downloaded has a very important feature removed - using custom fields for image, and a new feature added that is really NOT working for me without any conceivable way for me to remove it - that is the love links right after the content on the edit page of posts. So, my questions are:

    1) Is there a way to remove that love links feature? And why isn't it uncheckable from Screen Options like any other plugin? I admit it is wonderful but not applicable in my site.

    2) Is there a way to manually add photos for use as thumbnails for the Related Posts? I could never quite figure out how the automatic works anyway... Plus I really prefer to upload my photos outside of WP. I've not been able to find instructions of use yet.

    Thank you.

Hey, big thanks for reaching out here, I'll be more than glad to help you out!

The thing is, that "love links feature" or the widget with related articles from around the web (as we like to call it) can be removed in your plugin settings (at the bottom of your 'Additional settings' sub-menu), if you un-tick the box next to 'Display widget with articles from around the web in your "Compose-new-post" page'.

This way your Related Articles widget should be removed completely, but it also means that your blog won't be recommended to others as well, since that option opts you out of our Recommendations Pool. In order to be linked to you also need to link out to other bloggers — not all of the time, but just when you find it necessary & interesting. We strongly believe our recommended content is relevant, thoroughly checked and of decent quality.

As for your second inquiry — our thumbnailer works more or less in the following order:

Custom field value > Featured image > First image in blog post > Default image for blog posts without images

Let me know how this works for you or if you have any more questions what-so-ever, since I'll be more than glad to help you out! Take care & have a nice day!

    Best,
    Silvo
