   How do I remove the link group in the Meta category?
   This is a default group of links added to the wordpress blog after install.

   I don't see a way to remove it in the admin panel.

   What is Meta Category? If you mean the XHTML link and XFN link after the register and login links, then you will find this - mostly - in the sidebar.php in your theme folder.
