I am currently running my blog with the Twenty Ten theme and would like to remove the black navigation bar with the home button on it that is under my header. I got rid of the thin black line above my header by changing the border options in CSS. Any help?

Don't edit the Twenty Ten theme. Instead create a child theme for your changes. Once your child theme is active, we should be able to help with the customisation.
