How to remove "Thankyou for creating with WordPress" (8 posts)

    I updated many sites that I own to the latest version of WordPress. They are on the Flexx theme by iThemes.

    The text "Thankyou for creating with WordPress" now appears with a line right across the middle of the content box in the back end making it difficult to write in the content box and also meaning I have to move the boxs around in order to add tags etc

    Is this a problem with WordPress or with the Flexx theme?

    Is there a way to remove this text "Thankyou for creating with WordPress" and the line with it?

    Can you please provide a site link as this will reaveal the CSS in use and allow a quick response in most situations - although, many footer items in custom themes are difficult to work with and you may need to consult the theme dev.'s...

    Hi, Georgie

    I also have a similar problem. When I am writing a post, the line of "Thank you for creating with WordPress. Version 3.3.1" is showing a little above the edit box bottom, cross overing the right side bar.

    I have found this problem with several of my sites and it seems have nothing to do with theme, as it still occur even I switch of the default theme.

    Here is one of my site url http://www.holidayscompass.com/, please check. Hope can get help from you. Thank you very much!

    Hi Smarster,

    I am still having the problem. Have not been able to find anyone to help. But I imagine there must be more people then just us with this problem. Hopefully someone has an answer

    @georgiehope: As you are using a commercial theme, you need to seek support from the theme's vendors.

    @georgiehope:
    Yes, I agree with you. Should have more people have this problem, not just us.

    @esmi:
    Hi, thanks for your reply. But sorry this is in fact a free using theme. So no support available. :)

    While the important thing is that, it seems the problem is not with the theme. As I said, I use several themes on my different sites, and even I use the default theme, the problem is still there.

    What I can guess is, this problem may caused by wp bug or some plugins I installed.

    I will try to set up a new site and try it. Hope I can find the problem if it is the plugin's fault.

  8. It took me a while to find and notice it but I think you mean on the edit post page in WordPress.

    That "Thank you for creating with WordPress" works fine: deactivate your plugins and switch your theme to Twenty Eleven. Then work backwards re-activating each plugin one at a time until the problem comes back. Do the theme last.

    But sorry this is in fact a free using theme. So no support available. :)

    And it's still not supported here either. :) If it is the theme, then as Esmi said speak with the vendor.
