   Hello,

   I'm using WP as a photography blog.
   As you see in this post: clickme
   i want to show a singie image at the top of my article and there are three further images which i want to show as a gallery at the bottom of the post.
   But, if i insert the gallery of this article the first image was also shown in the gallery.

   1. Is ist possible to remove a single image from the gallery without removing it completely from the article?

   2. Is it basically possible to remove the assignment from an image to an article without deleting it from the server?

   Not without editing the database (which I wouldn't recommend).
