[resolved] How to remove settings once plugin deleted (7 posts)

    Hi,

I had used this plugin for a while but it messed up the "next" and "previous" links order for my portfolio theme. So I had to remove it. But still whenver I re-install and enable it again (because the problem is not going away), the plugin settings are there, and the customizing I did is saved. How do I get rid of these settings? To make it like I never had installed this plugin?

If it is to be removed from database, please do tell. I don't wanna redo all of my website again :(

    Hi
Once the plugin is disabled there's no need to remove any "settings" as they have no effect on the site whatsoever. What you may need is to re-order the posts as need then disable the plugin. WordPress will continue to use that order indexes.

Actually, I did re-order through the plugin, and the disabled. Problem is, the new order (or indexing) isn't going away when I disable the plugin.

Using identity theme, the featured ones on homepage aren't browsing correctly. When I click next from an image, the next image from "portfolio" order shows up, not the next one in "featured"

In fact the post ordering index is a WordPress feature, this is held within database through menu_order column. So even if you disable the plugin WordPress will still use that data. I think by Portfolio and Featured you mean browsing (next and previous) within a category, you can just set the menu_order to 0 which will set the menu_order to default and should work as before. But even that way may not work, as the next / previous will rely on post date which not means it will browse a category posts, unless you really change the dates and group posts by category using time intervals. Possible you may want to check with Advanced Post Types Order as an easy way to achieve what you need.

That's probably the best response possible :). One last thing, I erased all the database through plugin, added a few portfolio posts to check, and it's still behaving the same way. How in the world is that possible?

If it's sure that purchasing the plugin will solve the issue then I can do that, but are we sure?

I'am sure the next / previous use all posts (archive) rather your 2 categories.
I don't see a reason for why the advanced version may not work for your scenario, you should get in touch with developers and see what they say.
