• Hopefully someone can help me.
I’ve switched themes but the social bookmark feature (icons) from the old theme is still showing up on the new theme. The icons all referenced the old theme’s image folder. Even after deleting the ENTIRE theme and image folder, the icons still remain. Cleaning the browser and server cache doesn’t seem to help.
    Please help! Thanks.

check if these are done by a plugin.

if you are not sure, deactivate all plugins to see if that resolves the peoblem; then re-activate one plugin after the other to find the trouble plugin.

    Hey thanks for the response.
It’s not a plugin, and I’ve deactivated all the plugins.
Also, the social icons referenced the theme’s folder and not the plugin folder.
    ../blog/wp-content/themes/alibi/images/reddit.png

Even after deleting that folder and the whole Alibi theme, the icons still shows. What’s more interesting is that it adds a “
” tag after every icon, when that wasn’t the case when the Alibi theme was active.
Also, it’s not hard coded in as I’ve checked the template codes just in case.

I just want to clarify that the last Web guy hard coded page.php to add some social media icons. Upon changing themes, those icons still appear in the new theme even if the previous theme was delete. How can that be?
