[resolved] How to remove recent posts from showing up on all pages (8 posts)

My recent posts all show up on every page of my blog - It's highly annoying because it is taking up quite alot of space.

I did read some other people had the same problem and attempted to fix it but failed.

If you need to see my website/code, I can provide that no problem.

It's 10pm GMT here, so I'll get back tomorrow morning if there's any replies.

Where does the recent posts show up? Sidebar? Bottom of the main content or top?

If it's an widget, then you can delete it by going to

    http://your-domain.com/wp-admin/widgets.php

If it's not there, then it's probably inserted via code, usually from theme's functions.php file.

I think you're right because the functions.php is a massive file.

I haven't got a clue what to delete due to the size of it.
Here is a pastebin of it:

I'm guessing if I delete a certain section of it, it wont show up again when I create a new post?

Yes, the file is kinda massive. It looks like you have to hunt for the file called

    sidebar.php

or similar, looks like it's called directly from there.

great stuff thanks for the help :)

Managed to do it. It was being called from sidebars.php which lead to sidebar-default.php which was the offender.
