How to remove individual pages from sidebar (4 posts)

Hello all. I posted this question last night, or so I thought, but for some reason I can't find the thread anywhere. If it's up somewhere, I apologize for the repost, but this is important. I see plastered everywhere posts about removing the sidebar from pages but I have the reverse issue. I need to remove pages from the sidebar, or just have them not show up there in the first place. I have a page where I intend to link to articles on a specific topic. Their links will be there, and I do not need to clutter the sidebar with all of these links on every other page as well. In fact I don' want them on the sidebar at all. You can use the sidebar to access the page with these links, and that is all I want. Can someone please tell me how to remove individual page links from the sidebar, without removing the sidebar altogether? The site is http://www.craftyfrugalmom.com. It is still very new but the sidebar links are pretty much the way I want them right now, unless I come up with additional ideas for the site. The links to the articles I'm talking about are on the budgeting advice page. This is not my blog. On this one rather I'll make posts on individual pages and link to them from there. The Parenting tips page is the blog.

On a side note while I am at it, is there a good shopping cart plugin or something I can use for the crafts page, something simple but effective that would work for screen reader users, is easy to populate, and would not span the entire site? I only want it to cover the products in that section as there won't be any products anywhere else.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

    Hi zhuuraan,

More than likely, to remove those pages, you need to edit the menu. In you admin, go to Appearance > Menus. (your url will be something like this: /wp-admin/nav-menus.php).

In this page you will be able to remove, add and edit menus. If you delete pages from the menu and hit save, they will disappear from sidebar. Let me know if you have specific questions about this.

The WooCommerce plugin is a highly rated plugin from creating shopping carts.

    I hope this helps! Cheers!

Thank you. I will have a look at that, as well as the plugin. I will post again if I have any questions.

I got the page removed. I created a new menu actually with only the 6 pages I wanted in it by default, and I unchecked the automatically add top level pages box so I can just add them if I want them there. Thanks for the help. Now I just have to go put the link where I want it, then after lunch I will try out that shopping cart. Thank you!
