I'm using the Brunelleschi 1.4.2 theme, and I can't figure out how to delete the "home" page. When I try to edit it, it says it doesn't exist. I'm not familiar with writing code so some step-by-step tips would be useful- I just tried to follow some advice I found online and had to reinstall wordpress.
By home page, would this just be the list of posts on the front page of your theme?
You could start here with a guide to how themes work.

Not the posts but the pages-- the original theme automatically came with "Home" which I tried to edit into "About." The "About" page can still be edited by me, but the "Home" page cannot be edited or deleted. Last time I tried to delete it (by deleting some of the coding), I deleted something important and the whole site stopped working. Do you know what specifically I have to delete to remove the "Home" page from the header?
In Settings > Reading, is Static Page selected, or Your latest posts.
