   Hi, I am not a expert in wordpress. I have a site called vmwaredevotee.com
   For some reason there are two archieve widget shown on my site.
   I would like to keep one of them and remove the other.
   I would like to keep the widget which also shows the number of posts done in a month.

   Can anyone please help me here !!!!

   The second archive widget is in a sidebar called "southsidebar". Check to see if there are any widgets in that sidebar. If there are no widgets set, it's probably hardcoded into the template to show that widget when no widgets are set. If that's the case, put an empty text widget in the sidebar to get rid of it.
