How to remove an information bar on my homepage

    Hi, a while ago I inserted a banner across my homepage with an offer to customers but now I don’t remember how to remove it! Please can you advise? the website is http://www.jayelcees.co.uk and its the banner that says “OUR SITE IS NOW LIVE…..”

    Its looks like you have added the html to your theme’s footer. Check in /wp-content/themes/gdrestaurant/footer.php for the following and remove it:

    <p class="demo_store">Our site is now LIVE!!! FREE Spring Rolls to the 1st 25 online orders!!!</p>

    Hi Ashly, thanks very much for your assistance. There was a time when I was really into learning WP and then I got a new job doing something totally different and dropped this for 3 months, now I am back at it and have no idea how to get t;
    /wp-content/themes/gdrestaurant/footer.php

    Am not even sure if I did it that way but if it removes the banner, I would appreciate more assistance in getting to it.
    I have checked in; Appearance – Editor – footer.php but cant find that line in there.

    You could have a look in your functions file.

    I put my foo bar calls in the functions.

    Hi Ashley and Kevin,

    Thanks very much for your responses and help. from a technical perspective I am certain your suggestions would have resolved my issue but I am not very savvy on web design, I was at one point getting better by working on it on a daily basis but stopped due to other work commitments.

    anyway, I managed to find the little check box, its under Woo Commerce on the General tab; Store Notice!!!! Phew! was driving me round the bend but all done now.
