• I previously had a small left sidebar and a larger right sidebar and wanted to change it to 1 large right sidebar. I moved all widgets into the correct sidebar (although I need to properly arrange them now) and chose the correct page layout in settings, however, I still get 2 sidebars…next to eachother, 1 blank. How do I fix this?

  • Have you checked if you theme options where you can change the settings for sidebars

Yes, as I said, I did that already. “and chose the correct page layout in settings” Not sure where to take it from here.

Check your index.php file and see what sidebars codes you have
    on the template.

Um…I am tech illiterate for the most part. I learn fast, but need to be told at least once πŸ˜› Where do I find index.php file?

    In my editor, I have:

    Templates
This child theme inherits templates from a parent theme, Genesis.

    Landing Page Template
    (landing.php)
    Theme Functions
    (functions.php)
    footer-widgeted.php
    (footer-widgeted.php)
    Styles
    Stylesheet
    (style.css)
    custom.css
    (custom.css)

I am sorry I have not used Genesis frame work my self may be some one who used the frame work can help.

As you are using a commercial theme, you need to seek support from the theme’s vendors.

I can’t use support, it is asking for “Follow the instructions provided on the Theme Download page (link to the Theme Download page was sent via email after your purchase was completed).” but I do not have that. I did not buy this, the person who did my site did. This person has vanished from the face of the Earth apparently…..

Sorry but there is nothing we can do. We do not support premium themes as the theme owner paid for support when they bought the theme. We do not have access to it.

But you don’t know HOW to fix this issue? Who can I talk to?

How do I get support for a theme then? I paid to have this installed, but now that person is nowhere to be found :/

If you purchased the theme from studiopress, you should have access to the studiopress forums at http://www.studiopress.com/support

If someone else paid for the theme, they are entitled to use the support forum and you have to go through them for support.

As I said, I purchased it from someone else, SHE IS NO LONGER ABLE TO BE FOUND, therefore, I can not get support from her. Am I just out all of my money?

I am crying here. My blog is my only income and because of this issue, I am out about $200 in lost income right now.

There is nothing we can do to help.

Can you direct me to someone who I can PAY to help? I can’t lose 3 years of blogging and my only income because of a freaking sidebar!
