I have read the docs but I can't find anything that talks about how to register the people that will post on my blog. I want them to register with their name (nickname), avatar, email address, city, state and country. I don't want to put people off though. Do you think this is too much info?
How would I just let people give their email address and post? Also I want to have the right to allow the post or not.

All that is automatic?
Go to your blog, and log out. Where the log out link was, there should now be a "Log in or Register" comment, with links. Click on register. All they require is a username and email, but they can add more info in their user area later.
And by default, you have to approve at least 1 comment by a source before that source can always make comments. You can change that in the Dashboard > Comments > Discussion.
