[resolved] How to reduce margin around banner content (8 posts)

    I imagine there is an easy way to do this. I tried changing a number of margin sizes in style.css and that did not do the trick.

    By default, the banner has a background image size that tiles and then a smaller area for the graphics in the 2 front page banner widgets. I would like to make those graphics either the same height or at least closer to the same height.

    Please let me know which attribute in which template file to edit. Thanks!

    Thanks for the link! Are you talking about to the left and right around the image and links in the header?

    I would like the image on the right to be the same height as the tiling background.

    Within your style.css file, change the .banner class (line 673) to read as follows. This will remove the padding at the top & bottom of the banner section.

    .banner {
       color: #eaeaea;
       width: 90%;
       max-width: 1200px;
       margin: 0 auto;
       padding: 0;
       min-height: 75px;
    }

    You'll also need to remove the top & bottom margin from your widgets (approx line 683).

    .home .banner .widget {
       margin: 0;
    }

    Hope this helps.
