   I'd like to put a video clip into a blog post. Is it possible to be able to have a video-player type thing in the post itself, so the user can just press a play button and the video will play?

   I have the video as an mpg file (107Mb, 8min, 640 by 480).

   I know how to add a link, so if it's not possible to have an actual video-player in a post, I can put it up on YouTube and put a link in the post, but I'd rather have the video itself in the post if possible.

   http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/vipers-video-quicktags/

   gives you the option of hosting your video on youtube or somewhere else, or self hosting (you'll have to ftp a video that large)

   Do you have access to flash? you could quickly optimize that video....

   no matter what, that plugin should do ya good
