    hi guys

    first of all thanks for reading this post

    im wondering how i can incorporate a tags selection in my sidebar like http://wordpress.org/support/ or http://3amsunday.wordpress.com/

    my theme is not widget aware (ive tried to convert it to widget aware but it doesnt work well)

    my sidebar at the moment is like this (in case it helps)

    <div class="nav">
    <h1>Menu</h1>

      <li<?php if (is_home()) echo " class=\"selected\""; ?>>">Home
      <?php wp_list_pages('title_li=' ); ?>

    </div>

    <div id="calendar">
    <?php get_calendar() ?>
    </div>

    <div class="nav">
    <h1>Archive</h1>

      <?php wp_get_archives('type=monthly'); ?>

    </div>

    <?php if (function_exists('vote_poll') && !in_pollarchive()): ?>

    • <?php get_poll();?>

    <?php display_polls_archive_link(); ?>

  2. <?php endif; ?>

    <div class="nav">
    <h1>Links</h1>

      <?php get_links('-1', '
    • ', '
    • ', '', 0, 'name', 0, 0, -1, 0); ?>

    </div>

    thanks everyone

    regards,
    helio

    You want tags in your sidebar, right?
    I gave you the Codex article that describes the template tag that is doing it and gives you description, usage, examples etc.

    WHY didn't help?

    moshu: on usage gives me the code:
    <?php wp_tag_cloud(''); ?>

    is this the code i should put into my sidebar.php in order to work the tags?
    im a bit confused :(

    Unless you want to define something more specific (see the examples), yesy that's the default form of it.

    In WP everything is displayed by using Template_Tags.

    thanks moshu
    unfortunately it doesnt look good in my theme... i thought about adding tags to the sidebar in order to substitute the search because the search in my theme doesnt look good as well lol
    have a look at http://www.ecozine.org/index.php?s=rampart
    as you can see the post are a bit mixed with the sidebar.. i dont know why :(
    if u have any idea how to fix this let me know as i prefer the search instead of tags
    all the best

    cheers
