How to put in an old database in to a new one…

    I have a problem that I hope someone could help me with…

    Before I upgraded to the new version (1.5) (I didn’t upgrade – re-installed) I did a backup of the database from 1.2. Now I have written two posts in the new database (1.5) and I would like to “paste” my old database in to the new one and still have the two new entries left.
    I don’t want to delete the new database and just upload the older one because I want the two new posts to be there aswell.
    Is there a way to do this?

    You’re going to have to upgrade the v1.2.x database before you do anything as the two databases (between v1.2 and v1.5) are radically different. You will be better off just copy/pasting the two posts into your newly upgraded blog.

    Copy new posts
    Copy comments relevant to new posts

    Drop database
    Upload old database

    Copy new posts into the database

    That work ?
