    Hello, I'm trying to figure out how to put an image into the header of my almost spring theme for wordpress. I'm using the almost-spring-10 theme.

    Here are my questions:
    Do I put the code in header.php?
    Do I put the code in my style sheet?
    What code do I use and where?

    Also fyi, I'm still giving credit for the creation of the theme to the creator and will not remove their name.

    Here is what the header looks like:

    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">

    <head profile="http://gmpg.org/xfn/11">
    	<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="<?php bloginfo('html_type'); ?>; charset=<?php bloginfo('charset'); ?>" />

    	<title><?php bloginfo('name'); ?><?php wp_title(); ?></title>

    	<meta name="generator" content="WordPress <?php bloginfo('version'); ?>" /> <!-- leave this for stats -->

    	<style type="text/css" media="screen">
    		@import url( <?php bloginfo('stylesheet_url'); ?> );
    	</style>

    	<link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="RSS 2.0" href="<?php bloginfo('rss2_url'); ?>" />
    	<link rel="alternate" type="text/xml" title="RSS .92" href="<?php bloginfo('rss_url'); ?>" />
    	<link rel="alternate" type="application/atom+xml" title="Atom 0.3" href="<?php bloginfo('atom_url'); ?>" />
    	<link rel="pingback" href="<?php bloginfo('pingback_url'); ?>" />

    	<?php wp_get_archives('type=monthly&format=link'); ?>

    	<?php wp_head(); ?>
    </head>

    <body>

    <div id="wrapper">

    <div id="header">
    <h1><a href="<?php echo get_settings('home'); ?>"><?php bloginfo('name'); ?></a></h1>
    </div>

    <div id="content">

    And the image I want to put in there is in the images folder and is named header1.gif. Any and all help is appreciated! Thanks in advance. :)

    It all depends on what kind of image you would like to add and where in header area. There are many permutations.
    For background image - then you need to add the following style to your #header in style.css:

    #header {
    .. styles already in header ...
    height: 100px;//if you want to increase height
    background: url(images/header1.gif) repeat-y top left//if repeating pattern otherwise use -- repeat-once top center -- or top left;
    }

    Good luck.
