   I need to know how or if I can enter comments into monthly
   archives? If so, how? I also would like to know if I can make
   the last comment post first instead of having to go all the way
   to the end to find the newest post. I am really new to blogging
   and would like to learn how to do it the right way.

   The "right way" is as WP does out of the box :)
   No, you cannot have comments on monthly archives - I am not sure you know what are you asking.
   If I am a reader/visitor after reading your post/article I want to read also all the 45 comments just like a continuation of the post: the oldest first and then following the chronological order as the comments were posted. What you want is totally not user-friendly.

   Depending on the number of comments, this may be practical and even useful to a few visitors. However, with *truncated* comments, the practicality becomes questionable. To make this possible you will probably need to write a plug-in of your own. With many comments being a possibility, heavy query volume might follow, so the idea should maybe be binned... best wishes though and good luck.

   PS - depending on the nature of site content, I guess this can be valuable nonetheless.
