   I'd like to print out the blog with the banner... also how to print out the banner without the blog?

   if you mean with 'the banner' the backgound image of the header, then set your browser to print background images.
   or download the backgound image and print it

   I am still not sure how to print the banner or the background image of the header?? I followed macbrink's advice but can find where I can set my browser to print background images??

   You could right-click on the "banner" and select "View Background Image" (or something similar, depending on your browser). Then, you should be able to just print it alone.
