I'm teaching high school and some students find it amusing to "hijack" another users display name and post a message that they wouldn't post under their own name. Is their any way that I as the administrator can prevent this?
Thanks DR

Hi,
There is no direct hack or plugin. But you can do it by editing the wp-admin/profile.php file and remove the display name section from there.
Thanks,

Shane,
Thanks. Your suggestion makes sense; however, I installed and am running WP from within yahoo's web hosting service and I can't find the wp-admin/profile.php file.
Maybe its been renamed or maybe I don't know where to look.
Thanks again. DR
Yahoo might limit access to some of the core files - which would explain why you can't see wp-admin/profile.php. I'm wondering if some of the role management plugins might be useful here - especially ones that allow you assign individual privileges.

I'm a complete novice - don't know much about "role management plug-ins" so I have emailed yahoo. Hope that they have some ideas.
Thanks, DR
