How to prevent admin from demoting admin?

    There’s this moron administrator who keeps demoting me, as I am admin too. I think he is [redacted by mod – not nice!] or something, he thinks its funny…

    Is there a way to prevent an admin from demoting an administrator? I do not wish to demote him.

    Even if you don’t want to, (is he a 12 year old, or something?) just change his account to subscriber level and let it stay that way for a while. If you can’t trust him, just don’t give him any privileges. Pretty simple. It might not be so funny after that.

    The best attempt at a solution I know of would be to install Justin Tadlock’s members plugin and assign him to a new user role which has most of the admin role capabilities, but not the capability to edit users or roles.
