I am going crazy trying to post a photo with a caption on my site. Nothing I try will work. I am very new at this but I would think this would be intuitive. Guess not.
Any suggestions?

1. We don't have a link to your blog to determine what might be wrong with your WordPress Theme.
2. If your WordPress Theme doesn't support captions, you may have to add captions to the Theme CSS or switch Themes.
3. Until we have more information, since you've posted multiple requests for help without more information, here is information on how to publish an image on a WordPress blog: Using Images on the WordPress Codex.
