   Hi there,

   I would like to know if there's a way in which I can place a footer link that would direct to a new page on the site?

   Try editing your theme's footer.php file and adding the link manually?

   If your theme supports custom menus then you can add a code for menu in footer.php and add pages to menu from Appearance Menus.
