To customize the text go to the Settings menu => General.
As for displaying a thumbnail in Facebook… this would be a question for them.
ive changed it in the “settings general” maybe if someone has facebook they can put the website address in their posting area but not hit enter to actually post it and see what im talking about. the website is http://surflifenicaragua.com/ and when i put it in the Posting ares” it just says “eyeamtyms WordPress” and “Just another WordPress site” and some thumbnail i dont even know where it came from. my friend has his site built with wordpress as well but when u post his it shows his website name and the thumbnail he has chosen

This is correct and should be sufficient for Facebook.
However, as far as i can remember, Facebook may have “recorded” the old information and is maybe serving it from cache? Does this seem possible?
Hi, I’m having a same problem with “Just another WordPress site” I have tried several times to fill the tagline section in General Settings panel (Settings -> General) with several words, and tried to keep that section empty as well, but regardless what I do, the “Just another WordPress site” is there and does not disappear. I use windows 7. WordPress Version 3.7.1. I have just installed it and my homepage is still uncompleted, and I haven’t post/share it on Facebook yet, so I don’t see how the Facebook could remember it at all. I use Fluxus theme version 1.2.4. and no plugins.

I have no idea what to do, I would very much like to have another and more appropriate description on my website than “just another WordPress site”. I know a bit about HTML, and CSS. But do not know anything about PHP coding.
So I appreciate a lot helping me to resolve this issue.
