How to optimize wordpres to huge amount of articles?

    Hello Everyone,

    I own news portal FreeSMI.by created on WordPress. There are 9205 articles on the site. Everyday journalists publish 15-20 more articles. Can you please help uderstanding if there are any potential issues because of big amount of articles? Is there any way of protect the site to prevent any problems because of big amount articles?

    I’m not an expert, but I know http://globalnews.ca is one of the largest Canadian television news networks, and they run on WordPress.com VIP. They publish hundreds of articles and videos daily. So, I don’t think you would have any issues with WordPress, per se.

    That said, hosts without sufficient resources could cause you grief. I would recommend you ask this question of your host to make sure the service package you have is sufficient to meet your needs. While you are at it, best to check with them regarding their backup procedures (and how to restore) just in case there is a catastrophic failure in the future. Better to learn now then after it’s too late. 😉
