I have a WordPress site that I want to transfer on a different server.. I've done this before but always have issues with images transfers. I've followed the steps on this page http://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress but always run into the same issues. Does anyone have any suggestions?
As long as you move everything over you should not have problem
if you using cpanel I have video on how backup everything and restore on new server see if this helps

govpatel speaks the truth, but we have moved blogs to a 3rd location using the regular import and export methods, just to be sure things get moved. Export and load on a blog at wordpress.com, switch servers, and then export the wordpress.com blog to your new server. It's cheating, but it will work, and keep the bp under check.
If you use export and import method your images are not imported as they are in your wp-content/uploads folder

Thanks for all your help. I've always ran into issues when I login to my wordpress site go to settings and change the WordPress address (URL) and Site address (URL) to the new domain name I will be using. I find once I do that I'm then unable to login to my old blog all together.
You can only have domain name pointing to one website that is why is recommended to work on wordpress in a folder or locally on wamp server.
