   Hi, at the moment I have my WordPress installed in a folder called WP, but I'd like to move it to the root directory so I can take out the redirection and also the extra "/wp" on the end of my domain name.

   How can I do this? I know I need to change URLs - should I do them FIRST in the admin, then simply move the files?

   Any help is much appreciated!! Thanks!!

   It happens to all of us, and both the forum and codex are difficult to search nowadays... (see the sticky/red post on the main page here)

   Ask back if there is anything not clear! Better ask twice - a lost database is much worse than asking "retarded*" questions :)
