How to move tags and categories above YARPP? (4 posts)

    If you look at this post, you can see that the YARPP plugin is placed below the sharing buttons but above the tags and categories for the post. I would like to move the tags and categories above YARPP so it would go: end of article, sharing buttons, tags and categories, then YARPP. Also, the formatting is a little off with the YARPP post titles that need to be smaller.

    I need lots of help because I have no idea what a php file is or where I would even go to write anything to change it. I'd really just need someone to explain it to me like I were a 2 year old in order for me to understand it.

    Can please some help out a seriously code challenged friend? Thanks in advance!

    I'll address the YARPP title size first, because that's an easier issue.

    In the admin section of WordPress, go to Appearance --> Editor and open your theme's style.css file. Paste the following at the bottom, and then click "Update File."

    .yarpp-thumbnail {height: 200px !important;}
    .yarpp-thumbnail-title {font-size:0.8em !important; max-height: 4em !important;}

    Please try that before I explain how to move the widget below the "Filed under..." line.

    Thank you so much for your reply! Ok, that was easy enough. Now, for part 2? Thanks again!

    For part two, you'll have to find out where in your theme the "Filed under..." line is being displayed. Check your index.php file and search for anything that looks similar.

    Once you find it (and I can't really help you find it), add the following line AFTER the code that produces the "Filed under..." line:

    related_posts();

    Then click the "Update file" button.

    Then, make sure you UNCHECK the box next to "Automatically display" in the YARPP "Display options" panel in WordPress.
