[resolved] How to move an element to a byline (4 posts)

    Hello! First, thank you for a great theme. Second, I'm very new and still learning. I'm trying to figure out how to move my author information to the byline section of my posts. For example, this post. At the bottom of the post it has my name, "Thomas Soraci on Google+" as a link to my google+ page. I'm trying to move that up to the top of the post, just under the title, "How far has Android come?"

    So here is what I've figured out so far. I've been using the inspect element feature on chrome and firebug.

    The element I want to move is <div class="wdgpo_author">

    I'd like to move it right under the <h2 class="pagetitle ">

    So I've been searching the files for "pagetitle" and haven't been able to find anything.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying my best to the learn this stuff but this one is puzzling. Thank you.

    Okay I may have figured out what to do. It's dirty though. In the single.php file I put

    <p>Written by:
    <?php the_author_link(); ?></p>

    under the
    <?php get_posts_titles(get_the_title(), get_the_ID()); ?>

    It's right where I want it, now I just need to link it to my google+ page

    hi tsoraci,

    that works but your changes will be lost when updating the theme.

    does the new theme update fix this maybe?

    if not, you can also just create a child theme and add your new single.php file there, this will be update safe then ;)

    hope this helps, konrad

    Hey thanks for the reply Konrad, I ended up switching to a theme that has what I wanted built in. I still need to study up on child themes though.
