I’ve copied and renamed the twentyfourteen_paging_nav() into a child function file. I’d like to modify the code so that it only displays the following four links:
First Post | Older Post | Newer Post | Latest Post
    Help?
    • Trying to make a web-comic-friendly site. The default numbering system conflicts with the post content. Hiding the numbers is the easiest solution (I assume).
    • The nav needs to remain static. When on the First Post the link should still be displayed, but greyed out.

  • Could you provide website url?

    Sure.
Just installed, so very little styling yet:

You can see that nav # 3 takes you to “Page 1” and nav #1 takes you to “Page 3”. The nav moves around from page to page. Both behaviors are undesirable.

Looks like the Inkblot theme and the webcomic plugin are the plug and play solutions for this. Switching themes, setting to resolved.
