How to modify the frontpage/add content?

    Hi everyone,

    I would like to make some modifications to the front page.

    What I basically want is to add some content below the featured posts (it can be a widget or images or something else). I basically want the concept of a footer, I want to add two columns, just like footer, below the latest posts (slide show).

    I tried using Page Builder for this, but the only thing I don’t know how to do is how to add recents posts with images (as a slide show). I can choose a static front page, but then I don’t know how to add slide show with the recent posts on it.

    Are these modifications possible?

    Yes these modifications are possible. Several ways to do this sort of thing (actually that makes it more difficult because you have to choose 🙂

    1. Try just using the Footer. You can set it to 2 columns, change the background color, drag widgets into the columns to display recent posts with pictures, etc.

    2. Install a Slideshow Plugin (one I have just tried and like is Meta Slider from Matcha Labs; works great with Hueman). This gives you a shortcode (eg [Slideshow]) that you simply add to the text content of your static front page in the position you require the Slideshow.

    thanks for your response.

    1. Actually, I need the footer as it is. I would still like to add something like the footer.

    2. I guess this would work pretty fine. I checked and saw that only the Pro version of Meta Slider offers the opportunity to slideshow posts.

    I’ll wait some more time to see if there is another free opportunity to do this, otherwise, I’ll need to use Meta Slider Pro version.
