   Hi

   I am puzzled, my site http://www.itsjustlife.co.uk uses web space provided by 1and1 internet who have their own site analyics which show over a one mone period, mid Aug until present, a total of 13,841 visitors yet Google Analytics shows 144 visitors over the same period.

   I use Easy Link Manager to measure the popularity of individual posts which shows 100s a day for individual posts but they are obviously not showing up in Google!

   Does anyone know the most reliable way to measure visitor numbers and can anyone explain the difference in operation and accuracy between 1and1 Analytics, Google Analytics and Easy Link Manager.

   Interesting, I hope someone can help

   Google analytics uses page tagging via javascript whereas 1and1 analytics probably is a server logging software which logs page requests on the server.
   they are 2 different methods that can produce different results, but that seems like a big difference. are you sure the tracking code is on all your pages? are you using a plugin for that?

   Actually Google Analytics is the most commonly used but sure the difference in the statistics needs to be carefully reviews.

   Hi

   Thank you for comming back to me, yes I am using a plugin -
   Google Analytics for WordPress by Yoast and the code is in the Header by default.

   I have installed the StatpressV plugin for another angle on the fugures, just need an accurate figure for visitors otherwise I will never know what is working, or not!

   Any ideas are really welcome
