• Hello, We are developing a site on WP. After its done (all plugins and data) installed etc.. We need to make it so that a person might take our distribution and install it on his hosting and it would be as we made it.

I do not know if its possible to make a WP distribution package, but I have seen and XML imports with sample data, extra plugins/widgets etc.. Its with some of newly bought templates.

So how can I make something similar?

    Thanks

  • I’m not quite sure why you would want to do this. If you are using the themes and plugins provided through WordPress.org, your users could just install those themselves.

If you are distributing themes and plugins you have paid for, you need to make sure that 1) you have permission to distribute these, and 2) you have paid any licensing fees their vendors charge to allow redistribution.

You can always export posts and pages and they can import them, of course, but I have a feeling you want a lot more control than that.

No, we need to be able to save plugins options, any adds to DB and of course pages/posts and everything else. It has to be exact copy of our configuration, and from there the client may customize.
